Here’s a strong example of heteronormativism that I’ve seen multiple times and is starting to get on my nerves a bit. This commercial made the effort to include couples from multiple ethnic backgrounds and even mixed race couples, but they are all hetero, probably because Sealy knows that a same sex couple would probably be bad for business and unlikely air on network TV.
