And while this diagram is far from accurate or complete I posted it because it does get one to think about gender as something other than one aspect of a person, as it involves a lot of different areas of an individual’s life. Not just, “boy or girl?” or, “straight or gay?”. A person is defined by many many different factors, and may even be impossible to define. This does have some issues, especially ignoring asexuals and other often overlooked groups, but I think it’s a pretty good place to start if you want to show someone how many aspects one person can have to their personality and how they can vary in so many ways.
